As per a survey conducted by Expert Market Research, 29.85% of respondents prefer two factor authentication as a feature to safeguard their smart home appliances followed by 27.61% who prefer to set strong and unique passwords only.

As per a comprehensive survey conducted by Expert Market Research across top tier 1 and 2 cities, covering over 60,000 respondents, the results delve deep into the different solutions preferred by individuals to prevent security breaching.

The results derived from the survey indicate that 29.85% of the respondents prefer two factor authentication to secure their smart home devices while 27.61% prefer using strong and unique passwords. This study aims to analyze different options individuals prefer to keep their home secure and the reasons behind it. It’s clearly stated that majority of the respondents are more inclined towards two factor authentication and set up of strong and unique passwords surpassing other solutions which comprises of regular updates and monitoring, Limiting access to only trusted users etc.

Security being the major reason to opt for smart home devices is also the biggest constraint as data being breached out of systems is the biggest threat one wants to experience.
