The study aimed to understand which are the most preferrable places that travellers go to when they need to take a trip. This provides deeper insights on the behavioural preferences of people regarding various destinations. Religious sites and Beaches stand at par with a share of 16.76% each. This is further followed by Historical and cultural sites which is preferred by a collective of 14.53% of the respondents. The rest opt for locations such as Adventure and National parks, urban/rural cities, etc.

The inclination of travellers towards mountains and hill stations is due to the scenic beauty, refreshing climate and peace, often looked at as a getaway from the busy schedules, which provides a perfect retreat from the urban life.
