During the weeks 40-41 in 2025, commodity values have altered differently across the sectors: food, metals, chemicals, and energy. Within the food & beverage segment of the report, price did change much in beef from being $424.3/lb to $411.7/lb, while chicken fell to $109.4/lb to $107.9/lb. Cocoa prices changed for the better from £4,614/MT to £4,222/MT and coconut oil was almost the same $2,599/MT to $2,596/MT. Coffee increased from $4,319/MT to $4,440/MT and maize changed from 426.9 to 419.0 US cents/bushel. Prices for palm oil rose from $1,297/MT to $1,313/MT whereas rice prices were declining from $11.14/CWT to $10.84/CWT. Meanwhile, soybean meal prices went down from $268.1/MT to $269.1/MT, whereas soybean oil went up from 50.0 to 50.8 US cents/lb. On the other hand, prices for the soybeans went up from 1,013 to 1,020 US cents/bushel. Sugar also kept the same pattern and came at 16.42 US cents/lb instead of 16.22. On the other hand, wheat prices dropped, going down from 513.4 to 506.4 US cents/bushel.

Within the segment of metals and minerals, copper prices took a slight positive change as it went up from $10,463/MT to $10,671/MT. Similarly, aluminium prices soared up from $2,692/MT to $2,752/MT. Besides, Nickel had a little but positive change in its value, increasing from $15,287/MT to $15,391/MT. Iron ore went up just a little from $104.62/MT to $104.72/MT, while lead took a small step back, moving from $2,029/MT to $2,015/MT. Tin gained power and increased its value from $36,336/MT to $36,571/MT and zinc followed the trend and expanded from $2,988/MT to $3,014/MT.

In chemicals, the prices of one of the major commodities, that is ammonia, fell from US$ 317.8/MT to 317.5/MT indicating a value change in the report. The benzene price fell from US$ 822/MT to US$ 812/MT, and caustic soda price was unchanged as the report states US$ 117/MT respectively. Ethylene, methanol and propylene were sold for the following prices; US$ 801/MT were lowered to US$ 791/MT, US$ 315/MT to US$ 313.4/MT and US$ 921/MT respectively. Soda ash increased slightly from US$ 166.1/MT to US$ 166.2/MT.

The prices for precious metals also changed a bit, alongside gold, which moved up from $3,869/oz to $3,996/oz, platinum from $1,591/oz to $1,626/oz, and silver from $47.37/oz to $48.95/oz. The energy market faced a scenario where coal prices went up from $93.0/MT to $90.5/MT, crude oil from $65.8/bbl to $65.0/bbl, and natural gas dropped from $3.36/MMBtu to $3.31/MMBtu.
