Based on the findings of this study, it was observed that people usually prefer to book their trips just one month in advance. 44.83% of the total respondents stated that they book their trips within a month of travelling, and following closely, 27.59% of the people stated that they book their tours 1-3 months in advance. Though it was also noted that 17.24% of the travelers complete their bookings within a week. The remaining 10.34% take nearly 4-6 months. These people are usually the ones who are constantly looking out for deals and offers, and believe in planning well in advance, to decide their desired schedule of activities.
The duration of planning trips in advance also depends on the type of destination one is visiting. Certain destinations experience a high surge of visitors during peak seasons, making it a tough task to book tickets and hotels at the last minute. For instance, in the case of some famous restaurants, they demand advance bookings 6 months prior to the tour. This requires meticulous planning beforehand to avoid last-minute cancellations.
