The Genz is well known to adopt the mantra of prioritizing their mental wellbeing over their busy lives via travelling as frequently as they can, without breaking their already burdened pockets. This has led to a rise in the need for budget friendly tour and travel packages for people who are keen travellers but don’t wish to spend an excessive amount on leisure tours.

A recent study conducted by Expert market research delves into this cost effectiveness of the younger generation, where respondents Pan India were surveyed, to understand how much they typically spend on a leisure trip and how do they allocate their budget.
Based on the findings of this study, most travellers plan their trip budgets under 25000 rupees. About 41.67% of the respondents spend only under 10000 rupees on a trip, and another 441.67% spend between 10000 -25000. The main objective of the study was to learn about the total amount that people are willing to spend when they travel, to help tour companies devise tailored plans according to their budget allocations. About 8.33% of the respondents stated that they spend between 25000-50000 on a trip, followed by the rest 8.33% spending more than 50000. While people wish to experience the luxury of travelling, it has been observed that they don’t want to spend too much on the same.

Popularity Of Budget Friendly Travel Options
Even though there is a growing recognition for travelling for leisure, the younger generation has adopted the habit for spending wisely and after due thought consideration. For instance, there is an inclination towards mindful purchases and spending, where the GenZ has developed a sense of respect towards sustainable choices. The same applies on their travel choices, where they are watchful of the total budget they prepare for a trip. They continue to seek out for budget friendly alternatives being offered by various tour and travel businesses, without overspending.
This presents both a challenge and an opportunity to for the travel companies to re-evaluate their tour packages and offer more budget friendly and high value for money alternatives to its consumers.
