Its molecular weight is 180.03 g/mol, with a composition of 41.62% arsenic, 21.72% potassium, 1.12% hydrogen, and 35.55% oxygen.

Potassium arsenate is produced by reacting arsenic acid with potassium hydroxide (KOH). The reaction results in the formation of potassium arsenate and water.

Chemical Reaction: H3AsO4 (aq) + 3KOH (aq) → K3AsO4 (aq) + 3H2O (l)
