The results derived from the survey demonstrate that 28.09% of the respondents prefer smart speakers while 25.84% and 21.35% of the respondents prefer smart appliances and smart lights respectively. This study aims to analyze which devices among the category of smart home devices is preferred the most and why. It’s evident that majority of the share is dominated by smart speakers, appliances which include smart microwaves and refrigerators and smart lights with a collective share of 75%, depicting clear inclination towards these devices, surpassing others which include security systems, smart locks and smart hubs.

Among these, smart speakers are most widely used which includes Amazon Echo, Amazon Alexa etc. The two key players in this segment are Amazon Alexa and Google Home.
