Glycerin is an element of fat or oil. Handmade soaps contain glycerin, which is the result of the chemical reaction that occurs in the soap-making process. Often, several soaps are marketed as glycerin soaps; at the same time, glycerin is deliberately removed by soap producers to sell the soap for cosmetic or moisturizing purposes.

 

Transparent soaps are made employing the hot process method. Alcohol is generally used to make the soap transparent.
