The survey findings show that spray form is the most preferred choice of perfume and deodorants in India, opted by 75.27% of respondents. Roll-ons are the second most preferred form of fragrance at 18.28%. Creams and wipes are less popular forms preferred by 5.38% of respondents.
The popularity of spray forms is mainly due to convenience, allowing for quick and even fragrance distribution with just a few sprays. This makes spray perfumes more attractive to busy individuals who need an easy way to apply their fragrance. Additionally, sprays cover a wider area which ensures a consistent and pleasant scent throughout the day.
The survey highlights how consumer preferences can be influenced by product packaging strategies. The design of spray perfume bottles is often very stylish, sleek and aesthetically pleasing. These bottles come in various shapes, colors, and materials, ranging from glass to high-quality plastics. Such packaging catches consumer’s eyes and makes the product stand out on store shelves and online.
Roll Ons Perfumes Are Portable And Precise
Additionally, this survey provides regional insights, which could be beneficial for targeted marketing efforts related to different forms of perfumes. Also, it is observed that some cities or regions have shown a higher preference for specific perfume forms. Roll-on perfumes are particularly favored in urban areas where people pay a lot of attention to personal grooming routines, as these are appreciated for their unique application method, allowing consumers to apply fragrance precisely on pulse points such as wrists and neck. For example, Nivea, a popular brand, offers a range of roll-on deodorants that are highly favored in urban areas of India. Nivea focuses on offering products that are alcohol-free formulas that are gentle for skin. Metropolitan cities with a higher disposable income have shown interest in cream perfumes, valued for their luxurious feel, moisturizing properties, and intense fragrance.
