Another factor responsible for its wide popularity remains its widespread availability across India. Marlboro, a close second, is an American brand of cigarettes, owning its popularity to its strong global brand recognition and aggressive marketing as a premium brand. Marlboro is often associated with a lifestyle choice with its iconic advertisements which appeals to a lot of smokers.
