A study done by Expert Market Research encompassing 50,000 respondents (GENZ FAVOURS BJP AT THE CENTRE) from major cities in India who voted in the election. A striking 51.22% of voters chose NOTA due to dissatisfaction with the candidates available. Whereas around 19.51% of the respondents chose NOTA due to the fear of misuse of their votes. Due to the lack of interest or awareness in politics, a significant portion of 17.07% of the people chose NOTA. These voters often feel disconnected from the political process and perceive that their vote will have little impact on the outcome. They might not be aware of the political developments leading them to select NOTA as a neutral stance. Then 9.76% of respondents voted for NOTA as a strategic move aimed at initiating change or prompting a re-election. They followed a proactive approach by choosing NOTA to signal their discontent with the current political scenario and push for a re-evaluation of the candidates presented. Around 2.44% of respondents voted for NOTA thinking of it as a "cool" choice. These voters selected NOTA to stand out or make a statement, driven by a trend rather than a deep-seated belief.
