Germany paid the most for Ca-Zn stabilizers in Q3 2026: USD 3,900/MT, down 0.4% from USD 3,916/MT in Q2. Specialty one-pack systems, strict food contact and health requirements and higher energy costs keep German prices above the other three markets. Worldwide, the average fell 0.6% to USD 3,400/MT from USD 3,420/MT, mostly because weak construction demand and strong competition reduced prices in China and India. What about Q4 2026? We expect a global average somewhere in the USD 3,245-3,520/MT range, with PVC demand from construction, zinc and stearate costs and demand for lead-free systems doing most of the work.
Ca-Zn stabilizers are calcium and zinc based heat stabilizers added to PVC to prevent degradation during processing and use. They replace lead and cadmium systems in pipes, window profiles, cables, flooring, films, toys and medical and food contact products. Prices reflect the cost of calcium, zinc and fatty acid raw materials, the formulation and performance of the system and demand from PVC processors.
Producers in China, India, Germany, the United States and other regions sell Ca-Zn stabilizers as powder, paste or liquid one-pack systems made for each PVC application. Global chemical groups focus on specialty systems, while many Asian producers compete on volume in pipe and profile systems. Prices are quoted per metric ton, and they differ by the formulation, form and application.
Prices should ease slightly through the rest of 2026. Construction demand is weak in some regions, competition among producers is strong and raw material costs are stable. Growth in demand for lead-free systems limits the size of the decline. Against USD 3,350/MT in Q3 2025, the current global average of USD 3,400/MT represents an increase of 1.5%.
Risks to the Q4 outlook lean to the downside. What could push prices higher? Higher zinc and stearate costs, stronger construction demand or faster replacement of lead systems would lift prices. What could pull them lower? Weaker construction demand, more competition from Asian producers or lower raw material costs would lower prices.

| Germany | 3,725 - 4,035 | Specialty systems keep prices highest |
| United States | 3,580 - 3,880 | Specialty one-pack systems support prices |
